Hey dear, how are you today? I can guess that you are happy and grateful for the gift of Life and Love, anyways, I am also happy for what God has done so far in the Life of my family and friends.
Remember the last time we had a chat and I told you I was driving?
Something terrible happened on our way home, Fatima and I were involved in an accident that would have claimed our lives if God didn’t come through for us.
The Accident
We were driving back home on the Lekki-Epe expressway when the vehicle in front of us made a sudden u-turn because of the police check-point ahead, the u-turn was so sudden, and it left me with no other choice than to manoeuvre our way, it was in the process of trying to manoeuvre that we rammed into one of the streetlights.
I Just thank God that it was only our car we lost, I thank God we didn’t lose our lives.
Fatima and I were taken out of the vehicle by a good Policeman whom I learnt dashed down to the spot of the accident.
Other road users were shocked and blown off by such a miracle, I remember a particular woman was crying because she thought we were dead, considering how she saw the vehicle run into the street light.
We sat on the floor for about 15mins before we could regain full consciousness, all thanks to God for the quick response of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), they took us in the ambulance to a medical centre where we were examined for any form of injury suffered.
The Show of Love
Thank God the Nigeria Police made a statement on our behalf exonerating us of any wrong driving, two of the Policemen even paid us a visit the early morning of the next day, I remember one of them bought us breakfast to eat, that singular act made me love the Nigeria Police the more, and it surely made me believe that our country can be great again.
We got discharged at around 1 pm the next day, but Fatima and I decided not to tell anyone of the accident while we were still at the medical centre. Although Fatima’s iPhone got damaged during the accident, her Samsung Tab also suffered a broken screen, while my other iPhone got missing during the accident.😥😥
The Appreciation of Life
We went straight to my Place after leaving the medical centre, and the only thing we could do when we got home was to play some Gospel music in appreciation of God, for how he protected and saved us from death.
I remember Fatima and myself crying and rolling on the floor when a particular song by Nathaniel Bassey was playing, we didn’t even consider our religious differences, but we rather soaked ourselves in appreciation to God for saving us.

I swear my body still shivers, I need to play that song again, you might want to listen to the song too using your earpiece.
We got done with our praises and we hugged each other, after which we had to freshen up, got something to eat and slept like babies.
The Love Calls
It was after we woke up that I had to unbox a phone I had at home which was given to me as a birthday gift, and I gave it to Fatima so she could fix her sim card into it for use.
She had barely finished installing true caller and registering her Gmail on the phone when it rang, it was a call from her Ex, he said he had been trying to reach her, but her line has been un-usually not reachable, and he was worried.
She broke the news to him about the accident, and I could hear him scream “auzubillah minashaitan nirajeem” on the phone, he followed it up with lots of questions about her well-being and mine, he even asked her to give me the phone so he could speak with me, he asked me if we have done a thorough body scan to be sure we had no internal injury, and I told him yes we had already, but he insisted that we go for another scan the next day at a private medical centre.
He said we needed to be double sure that all is well.
He was still on the call with me when Mr Handsome call also came in as call waiting, I quickly asked that he allow me handover the phone back to Fatima because I needed to attend to an emergency, I gave the phone to Fatima and she asked that he allowed her to call him back because she needed to attend to another call quickly.
I overheard him saying “be quick with the call my Love, because I will call you back in another 20mins”
Fatima answered Mr Handsome’s call, and the first thing he said was “thank goodness”, “what happened Fatima, why haven’t I been able to reach you and your friend, I had been trying to reach you 5mins after you dropped me off, but your lines have been unreachable”.
Fatima responded to him by saying “thank God we are alive”, and he responded by saying ‘what do you mean by thank God we are alive, did something happen ?”
Fatima then broke the news to him saying “we were involved in a terrible accident that landed us in the hospital that night”, I could hear him scream “Jesus Christ” on the phone, and the next words he uttered were;
Are you fine?
Where are you?
Have you done a scan?
What did the doctor say?
Did you suffer any injury?
Fatima responded to him saying we are home safe and sound, yes we have done a scan and the Doctor says we are fine, and we have no internal injuries.
The next thing I heard him say on the phone was “this God is a good God, he will never ever disappoint us, I am so happy Fatima. Heaven knows I would have cried myself to death if something negative had happened to you girls”
He proceeded to say, “regardless of what the Doctor had said about the scan, I still think both of you should go in for another scan in 3 days from now, we need to be sure everything is perfectly fine.”
He also said that Fatima and myself must go on a compulsory 3days vacation without work, he said the bill will be on him.
That was the icing on the cake for me😊, he asked that Fatima and I pick a venue within Nigeria, he said we shouldn’t go outside the country yet because of the medical checkup we still needed to do.
He was talking about some other things to Fatima when her Ex-boyfriend call came in.
She begged Mr handsome to allow her to take a quick call, and she would call him back after the call.
