My love, I am sorry for taking too long before returning, I had to quickly attend to something that came up in my telegram group.
So the conversation I was telling you about continued, and it was at this point that Fatima and myself loosened up and gave off the vibe of let us gist.
Our guest said something like “Fatima, you don’t know how much you mean to me, but you will soon get to know, when we finally get to build on the foundation of the love we have for each other.”
Time had gone past quickly and I was already hungry, so I asked Fatima if she would love to eat, and together we placed an order for seafood, while Mr Handsome said he was now ready to break his fasting and prayer which he claimed to have started since he took off for Lagos.
That statement got me laughing really hard, but he responded by saying “when you want something really bad, you will know the place of prayers”, I thought that was a profound statement though, and I nodded my head in agreement to his statement.
He also placed an order for barbecue fish and chips to break his fasting and prayer.💁♀️
We started a friendly conversation afterwards, because we had already forgiven what happened in the past and Fatima had decided to bury the hatchet.🙂
We were all having a conversation about the immense opportunities in Nigeria’s agricultural, technological, and industrial landscape when his phone rang and he had to step aside to take the call, because he needed a quiet environment for his conversation.
While he was away, Fatima and I discussed coming up with some sort of mobile App that allows you to plan and host house parties, while also selling strictly by invitation tickets to people who can only know the venue of the event if they met certain conditions.
We were still having our gist when he returned with a smile on his face.
The Love Deal
I thought he was smiling at the Bella Shmuda song that was playing in the lounge.
I think I should play the song before telling you what Fatima said.
Fatima asked why he was smiling that way, she said “did you meet a fine girl where you went ?”, he replied by saying “I am looking at one right in front of me and she is enough for me”.
Fatima smiled and still asked the question “why are you smiling ?”
He replied to her by saying “guess what…”
But Fatima was not ready for any guessing game, so she replied to him saying “we can forget about it because I am not in the mood for any guesswork right now”.
But he quickly let the cat out of the bag by saying “I just landed you a $15,000 product design and management gig”.
Fatima’s face lit up and she quickly swallowed the drink in her mouth, after which she asked him a question saying “are you serious about this, or are you messing with my head ?”
Why would I do such was his response, I am serious here babe, there is this friend who wants to start an e-commerce company, and we have been talking about it for a while now. I told him about you and the great portfolio you possess, but his only question to me was “do you trust her?” and I responded to him by saying “yes I do with my life”. It is as a result of this that he has decided to award the job to you.
Fatima was staring at him with every sense of shock and surprise, she never knew when tears rolled down her cheek and she stood up to give him a tight hug, he responded saying “c’mon girl, this is just one of the many great things we will do together, I am eager to see you reach the peak of your career”
To tell the truth, I was blown off and I never expected that such could have happened….
He immediately sent the document brief to Fatima because his friend insisted that he should manage the relationship since he is the one who introduced Fatima.
The Love of Work
As usual, Fatima already started reading the brief and immediately switched her brain to work mode, but I snatched the phone from her, and told her that she can continue with work when she gets home, this place is a relaxation spot, not a co-working space, abeg.
Mr handsome however said that’s one of the characters he loves about Fatima, he said she is hardworking and committed to her craft. But in my mind I was thinking, what the hell is this one saying, are you encouraging her to embrace a workaholic lifestyle or what….
The Love Stunt
It was time to pay the bills, and I dipped my hand into my purse, took out my debit card and tendered it for payment.
Mr Handsome interrupted me and said to me “what are you trying to do ?”, but I replied to him saying it wasn’t a big deal, I want to pay the bills.
He looked at me with utmost shock, I would guess he isn’t used to that experience.
I paid the bills and we all stood up ready to leave, but he looked at me again and said “there is no way I am letting the both of you out of my circle. I am going to refund that which you have paid today once it has yielded enough interest in my account”
We both laughed and walked out of the venue😂😂….
We gave him a ride in our car to his apartment which was 15mins away from the venue, we got to the gate of his apartment and he asked us to come see what it looks like on the inside, but Fatima replied him saying “we will be back again for that lunch you promised, perhaps we can see what the inside looks like by then, and maybe I can also experience what the bed feels like”😉
We drove off after saying goodbye, and I asked Fatima what she meant by experiencing what “his bed feels like”, but Fatima responded by saying, “I need him to get his head busy with that thought, while he also figures out what to make for us when we come visiting.”
Fatima is a crazy girl…😂😂
At some point on our way back home, I started feeling bad that we once treated Mr handsome with contempt without hearing his side of the story.
I told Fatima about my feelings and she replied by saying, “my dear, everyone fucks up once in a while”
It was at this point that Kwaku the traveler started playing in my head, hold on while I play the song for you…
Fatima has sent a message to the Telegram group here, she also needs to meet up with her Ex next tomorrow as regards the task he gave her.
I will give you more gist when we meet again, I need to focus on driving right now.
