You can take online courses and get certifications. It’s quite difficult to get internship roles as a product manager, however, you can volunteer to do unpaid work for companies or ask to be paid a token for your services.

The easiest way is to attend bootcamps, take intensive online courses that give you the avenue to practice and build your own portfolio. It might not be easy to land your first job but this is where networking comes in. Get into design groups dedicated to product designers, share ideas and make new friends. These types of groups often expose you to job opportunities, more learning resources and a chance to meet like minds that you can share your ideas with.

Truth be told, the future is tech. However, you don’t have to get out of your career specialization completely before you gain a profitable tech skill. Tech cuts across various industries such as healthcare, business, construction, humanities careers etc. You will need to acquire skills that can make you a more qualified candidate in your field.
