ESET To Sponsor CSEAN’s Cyber Secure Nigeria 2022 Conference

ESET, is a global cyber security firm with high-performing, easy-to-use solutions. It is also a major sponsor for this year’s Cyber Secure Nigeria 2022, organized by the Cyber Security Experts Association of Nigeria (CSEAN).

Cyber Secure Nigeria 2022, was themed ‘Cybersecurity: An imperative for tackling security challenges in Nigeria’. This is also a hybrid conference and is scheduled to take place from 21st – 22nd of June, 2022, in Abuja. The scheduled venue for this event is the CBN International Training Institute, Maitama, Abuja.

According to Samila Atsen Bako, Director, Social Media and Communications, the conference aims to foster collaboration. These collaborations are between cybersecurity industry practitioners, business owners, financial institutions, telecommunications industries, ministries, departments, agencies, academia and non-governmental organizations. This is to facilitate the sharing of strategic quality cyber security practices to curb cyber threats and other cyber-related issues. They intend to curb cyber-related issues that affect Nigeria and the diaspora. 

CSEAN is delighted about ESET’s partnership as a sponsor for the conference.

“We raise cybersecurity awareness and organise free knowledge-sharing events to contribute to the growth of the cybersecurity industry. ESET’s partnership will go a long way in helping CSEAN realize its objectives for this conference”, Atsen said.

The Managing Director of ESET West Africa Anglophone, Mr. Olufemi Ake gave his two-piece. He said that ESET has been a major player in the development of industry-leading IT security software and services. According to him, they have also been protecting businesses against the increasing digital threats for over 35 years.

When asked about the topics to be discussed, Olabanji Soledayo, Marketing and Strategic Partnership Manager, ESET West Africa (Anglophone) gave a list. He listed Cybersecurity Governance and Protecting Nigeria’s Digital Economy. Olabanji also listed Cyber Intelligence as a tool for Enhancing National Security, Web3.0 and its Cybersecurity implications, amongst others. In his words, these are topics ESET is passionate about.

ESET will also provide assistance to individuals and businesses to partake fully in the conference so as to learn how to enhance their cybersecurity architecture.

Furthermore, the ESET Internet Security delivers rock-solid protection for everyday web users and has built a trademark of a quality balance of detection, speed and usability. 

CSEAN is a non-profit organization established in 2014. It is also an advocacy group that promotes the movement and development of Information Security best practices in Nigeria. Surely, they do not do this on their own. They make this happen through multi-stakeholder association at domestic and international levels.
