I thank God we came back from the date alive, and I also thank God that we did not go from the date to the hospital.
I know you must be wondering what happened, I will give you the gist, but let me drink water first, because I am still in shock sef.
Hmmm, so we fixed a date for Saturday by 4 pm, and the location was TheWineCaveLounge, at Wuse II, Abuja.
I remember a night before the date, Fatima and I were gisting about all the sweet things this guy had said to her on WhatsApp chat, she told me about how much of a cool guy He is, and how he always tells her about his bold ambitions and his vision for the Tech industry.
To tell the truth, I could see in my girlfriend’s eye that she was already falling in love, and that reality made me happy and grateful to God that we went to the mall that day.
Fatima even took a screenshot of all the messages they had, and she backed it up in her Google drive, so she can make throwback reels of how they met, once the love thing gets more real and stronger.
So it was Saturday, and we were dressed ready for a classic evening date, we were still listening to Running to You By Chike when a message popped in on Fatima’s WhatsApp with the text “I am outside your gate”
We walked outside the gate to meet this gentleman waiting for us in a manner that made us feel like royalty.
He gave us a warm hug and opened the door for the both of us to sit in the car.
We started the journey, and he had yet another sweet song to entertain us, it was Chike ft Flavour, Hard to find, do you remember the song?
Okay then, let me play the song a little bit as I continue my gist…
For the first time, I saw Fatima smile, sing along and rock her body to a piece of music that touched her soul.
The next set of songs was dope, I couldn’t hold back but ask him if he could share the playlist with me, and he did.
We finally got to our destination, and we walked into the venue, I was still soaking in the beauty of the environment when someone showed us a space to sit.
I placed an order for Long Island, while Fatima placed an order for Porn Star Martini, after which we started gisting and taking a sip from our drinks.
Our talks were filled with smiles, laughter and riddles.
I knew Fatima and myself were already in a different world, because we were so free about everything we said, and our laughter was free and vulnerable every time it came out, of course, you wouldn’t expect less, considering that we already had something to drink.
It was time to eat and we placed an order for The Caveman Platter, dammn!!!, that was one hell of a delicious meal.
I was making a confession of how happy I felt being in that location, until our fine Bobo interrupted by saying “Fatima, you are beautiful like the stars”.
Oh my God!!!, you needed to see the look on Fatima’s face, she was almost gonna cry.
She couldn’t hold back her appreciation for such a compliment, she had to give him a tight hug, and in return, He planted a Kiss on her forehead.
I was just there in my seat smiling at them, and saying “you people should stop torturing me ooo”…
All of a sudden, Mr Handsome said “something is about to happen, but you Ladies shouldn’t worry, because I can handle it”
In my mind, I thought he was about to give Fatima a French Kiss, but that wasn’t the case. It was going to be something else.
A beautiful lady dressed in beautiful flowing attire showed up at our table.
That was when a new dawn began, you don’t want to know what happened next.
