God of War 2 Gets Release Date

God of War, a 2018 mega-hit video game, finally gets a release date for its sequel, God of War 2. The sequel is titled “God of War: Ragnarök. This announcement is coming after the game sequel had delayed by a year by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

After what can be considered a long wait, the highly-anticipated sequel to the Kratos and Atreus saga through the Norse mythology will be released on November 9, 2022. It will be launched on PS4 and PS5 consoles. Yesterday, 6th July, PlayStation released a cinematic trailer for this sequel. This trailer captures the main characters, Kratos and his son, Atreus, fending off some of the enemies from the previous game. They are eventually separated at some point.

In this sequel, there are a lot of mythological creatures and also lots of action. There also will be new areas and new game-play mechanics in it. In addition, it has been planned to be the final chapter of the story of Kratos.

“We’re thrilled to be able to share our release date and the brand new God of War: Ragnarök– Father and Son CG Trailer– with all the God of War fans who have been eagerly awaiting the news. We hope you’ve enjoyed a glimpse at some of the dangers Kratos and Atreus could find themselves up against as Ragnarök approaches,” the official blog post from PlayStation announces.

It is noteworthy that the God of War 2 game will be sold in four interesting versions. A standard “Launch Edition” will be available physically. The Digital Deluxe Edition of this game will bring in extras like DarkDale Blades, Armor, and Axe Grip. That’s not all; there will also be a mini art book by Darkhorse. It will also bring for PlayStation 4, the full OST and Digital Theme.

Last year, Santa Monica Studios (God of War developer) confirmed that the sequel to this mega-hit game had been slated for release in late 2022. Now, the release date has been confirmed for 9th November. The speculations were that it was to give more time to the studio to deliver a very good game that everyone wants to play.
